Here at AMP Vehicle Rental, we do our best to guide and support you, whether it’s purchasing a commercial vehicle, or hiring one. Below, we’ve listed our most frequently asked questions in a bid to address any concerns or queries you may have. How long can I hire a van for?

At AMP Vehicle Rental, we’ve designed our vehicle rental services to be as flexible as you are. You can hire a truck or van for a minimum of just one day, or perhaps you need it for an entire week. We can also facilitate long-term rental solutions too, so please contact us to discuss your options. 

What type of van can I hire?

To accommodate different business needs, here at AMP Vehicle Rental, we offer a varied selection of rental vans and trucks. If you’re looking for a car-derived van, the small-sized Ford Transit Connect is an ideal choice. For something a little bigger, our mid-size Ford Transit Custom van does just the job, or for even larger tasks, the Ford Transit with side-loading doors is a perfect solution. Are you shifting a lot of cargo or moving house? Then our Ford Transit Luton van or IVECO Daily Box van (with or without curtainsides) will tick your boxes. We even rent heavy-duty tractor units such as the IVECO S-WAY complete with sleeper cab.

How much does it cost to rent a van?

At AMP Vehicle Rental, we aim to keep our prices as competitive as possible. Our daily rate for a small van starts at just £30.00 and our prices increase with the size of the van or truck you wish to hire. You’ll see a daily and weekly rate advertised against each of our rental vehicles but we can of course provide you with a bespoke rate depending on the length of hire you need.

Is mileage included in my rental vehicle?

Yes, our vehicles include a mileage allowance. When you hire a van or truck from us here at AMP Vehicle Rental, we will discuss the mileage allowance with you upon booking. We agree on a fair mileage limit depending on the length of rental, so if you go above that limit, we will charge you for excess mileage when you return the vehicle at a pence per mile cost.

Is VAT included when renting a vehicle?

No, the prices quoted here on the AMP Vehicle Rental website exclude VAT, so a 20% VAT rate will be added when booking a hire van or truck from us.      

What does being part of the BVRLA mean?

As a fully approved member of the BVRLA (British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association), you can rest assured that you are hiring a vehicle from a company that adheres to a mandatory Code of Conduct set out by the UK trade body.
