The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Mobile Vehicle Technicians to join the team at A. M. Phillip Trucktech Ltd. We are looking for candidates who can cover Aberdeenshire, Tayside & Perthshire, Fife, Central belt or Inverness-shire and would report to our branches in Forfar, Dundee, Glenrothes, Broxburn & Conon Bridge.

Successful candidates will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of our customers fleets of vehicles at their premises. The role will be predominantly remote but on occasions travel to the local branch would be required for training etc.

The ideal applicant will be competent in the mobile repair of vehicles to the highest of standards but training would be available for a skilled Technician looking to branch out into this area. Experience of working on one of our franchises vehicles will also be an advantage but not a requirement as full manufacturer training will be provided.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Service and repair of a wide range of vehicles.
  • Warranty diagnosis and rectification
  • Fault-finding, diagnostic investigation, and repair of a range of vehicles.
  • Maintain Mobile Service Van and all equipment to a high standard.
  • Attend local branch when required for administration and training.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable task which may arise.

The Person

The key skills and qualities required for the role are:

  • A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical repair of Light Commercial Vehicles.
  • Franchise experience desirable but not essential.
  • Mobile working experience desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A current full driving License.
  • PC skills and proficiency are preferable.
