Types of Electric/Hybrid Models Explained

Mild HybridMild-hybrid models are those vehicles that do not require plugging in in order to charge the battery. Instead, they make use of such technology as regenerative braking, which helps convert energy normally lost during braking into an electrical charge for the battery.
Plug-In HybridPlug-in hybrid vehicles feature a higher capacity battery compared to mild-hybrid options and require plugging into a suitable outlet to charge. The result is that the model can then operate in all-electric mode for a limited number of miles - often more than the daily commuting needs.
ElectricElectric models are the most efficient of the lot, powered solely by a battery motor that is charged at private and public charging points. These vehicles offer incredible range and zero emissions driving, as well as cost effective running costs, making them the future of motoring.
