Cruise control that can adapt automatically
With Adaptive Cruise Control technology, you choose the speed you want to drive at and the system will maintain it. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it will slow your vehicle to maintain a pre-set distance. Once the road in front is clear, the system will accelerate to your chosen speed.
Go hands-free with SYNC 3
SYNC 3 is our most advanced version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the colour Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen.
Keeping your trailer safely in line
Trailer Sway Control detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces your vehicle’s speed to help solve the problem, making towing more controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
About the Ford Ranger
Ford Ranger is the go anywhere do anything pick-up.
The range has four specification levels; XL, XLT, Limited and Wildtrak so there is a specification for all uses both work and play.
The Ford Ranger also comes with a 2.2 TDCi 160 PS duratorq diesel engine as well as a powerful 3.2 TDCi duratorq at 200PS and a choice of a 6-speed manual and a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission with manual sequential-shift capability
The range uses fuel-effcient Duratorq TDCi engines and advanced technology including a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), which uses AdBlue® and has a coated diesel particulate flter (cDPF), to meet stringent EU Stage VI emissions standards. The 4-cylinder 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine uses variable geometry turbochargers to deliver power of 130 PS (96kW) and 330 Nm torque, or 160 PS (118Kw) and 385 Nm torque; with combined fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from as low as 43.5 mpg and 171 g/km on the 160 PS manual 4x4 models ????tted with the new 3.15 Final Drive Ratio economy axle (option) and Auto- Start-Stop (standard).
The 5- cylinder 3.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel provides 200 PS (147 kW) and maximum torque of 470 Nm, with 90 per cent of this impressive pulling power available from 1,500 to 2,750
Traction is delivered with an Electronic shift-on-the-fly which allows you to change from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive and back again at the flick of a switch when you’re on the move.
And when you want to get to a remote location, you need power, torque and an abundance of traction which is where Ford Ranger’s four-wheel drive system with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) comes into its own. The grip provided by Ford Ranger’s four-wheel drive system is optimised by a comprehensive ESC system. Part of the system is Traction Control, which delivers excellent on-road and off-road driving capabilities.
If you want it done right, let your Ranger do it. Impressive power and fuel efficiency????ciency, partnered with a gross payload capacity of up to 1307 kg*, make it the ideal partner to shoulder your workload. With an impressive load box volume, Ford Ranger has been designed to work harder to earn its keep, so it offers a huge load box volume (1.8 cu.m to the top of the load box for the Regular Cab). There are DIN-compliant tie-downs, both interal and external and these handle up to 4000 newtons of lashing force. Some series (Limited and Wildtrak) are also available with a C-channel tie-down system for the load box as standard, making it even easier to secure loads
