A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Service Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will be based at our Glenrothes branch and cover areas across Tayside and Angus.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be competent in the roadside repair of vehicles to the highest of standards but Roadside Safety training would be available for a skilled Technician looking to branch out into this area. Experience of working on Ford vehicles will also be an advantage but not a requirement as full manufacturer training will be provided.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Service and repair of a wide range of vehicles.
  • Warranty diagnosis and rectification
  • Fault-finding, diagnostic investigation, and repair of a range of Ford vehicles.
  • Maintain Mobile Service Van and all equipment to a high standard.
  • Attend Henry Ford Training Academy for essential training and key skill development.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable task which may arise.

The key skills and qualities required for the role are:

  • A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical repair of Light Commercial Vehicles.
  • Ford experience desirable but not essential.
  • Mobile working experience desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A current full driving License.
  • PC skills and proficiency are preferable.

*Payable after 3 and 6 months of employment.
